About Our Clinical Hypnotherapy Certification

The aim of this course is to provide a sound introduction to hypnosis, enabling those attending to obtain a foundation of knowledge as an aid to the eventual practice of hypnotherapy. The course is part-time and will meet on four weekends spread over 4 months.

Students will be required to do the reading and written work as part of the course structure. Additional material such as lectures on the psychological theories and ethics will be presented. Whilst this course does not ask participants to delve too deeply into diagnostic routines, the emphasis is given to recognition of conditions in which hypnotherapy may be contra-indicated.

However, students are expected to acquire skills which are directly relevant to improving the quality of life for themselves and those around them.

On successful completion of the AWHI Clinical Hypnosis Certificate Course and upon passing the Part One assessment, students are entitled to apply to continue on with the Practitioner Certificate course, which runs concurrently with the Clinical Hypnosis course.

No student may present themselves for the Part One assessment without attending three supervisory sessions on the Clinical Hypnosis Certificate Course.

The AWHI Approach to Hypnotherapy

AWHI feels that the most important aspect of being a versatile and competent therapist is to be able to adapt, as a therapist, to the many different issues that clients present themselves within therapy. With this in mind, AWHI teaches Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling with the integrative approach central to our focus of learning.

Many courses will focus on one aspect of therapy in particular. By receiving training in not one, but all of the approaches above, you will, as a qualified therapist, have a vast amount of knowledge and skills to be able to treat a wide range of clients.

Each client will present his or her own unique and differing problems and issues. Our approach will train you to deal with all and any of them, and if not, will give you the expertise to know when a referral is appropriate.

AWHI has gained wide acclaim for the thoroughness and high quality of its training from many fields of hypnotherapy and psychology.

Who is Eligible to train on this course?

This course is open to all individuals seeking a new career. When it comes to age limits we feel that to teach anybody under 22 is hardly fair on them.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate interest, enthusiasm and life experience appropriate to helping others by means of therapy, and to show aptitude and potential for study in both tutorials, home situations, and study groups, Qualified study group supervisors will be made available to all courses.

AWHI believes fully that all individuals have the right and the resources to self-develop and to achieve their highest dreams and goals.
